In this work, the combination of different modeling approaches with in-line proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy is used to assist transfer a reversible addition-fragmentation chain (RAFT) polymerization methyl methacrylate micro-scale reactor. This approach then applied find optimal process parameters like temperature or residence time as well best composition reaction mixture in order optimize conversion and molecular characteristics synthesized polymer. A kinetic model based on ordinary differential equations implemented program Predici first validated experimental data reactions performed at various temperatures. Further on, two glass chip reactors coil reactor are combined ways investigate influence geometry process. optimization step assisted by multiphysics that focuses heat properties specific areas inside reactors. setup successfully carry out stationary polymerization. study shows instationary experiments micro-fluidic system equipped analytics allow for fast development RAFT polymerizations.
